Mastic Beach teenager arrested for robbery in Riverhead

A Mastic Beach teenager was charged this morning after committing a robbery in Riverhead.

Police report that the incident occurred last night at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Railroad Avenue.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a man who had been beaten unconscious and robbed of his backpack by 19-year-old Juan Francisco Uri-Zar Zamora.

Shortly after the incident, the police were able to quickly locate and arrest him.
