Myrtle Beach police investigate shooting at multiple locations

Officers responded to several locations in Myrtle Beach on Sunday evening in reference to an incident involving a shooting.

Police responded to the areas of 14th Avenue South and Kings Highway, 13th Avenue South and Beaver Road, and 3rd Avenue South at around 11:47 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

Upon further investigation, officers determined that the incident began with a verbal altercation between the suspect and the victim over a dispute over merchandise.

According to police, the situation escalated when the suspect fired his weapon while pursuing two victims in a fleeing vehicle.

The suspect has been arrested and the case remains under investigation.
