Man sexually abuses teenager he was sitting next to on train to King’s Cross

Police are investigating after a man sexually assaulted a young girl on a train from London King’s Cross as the train headed towards the north of England. The attack occurred at around 6.30pm on Sunday 14 April as the girl was travelling on the train towards Leeds.

A man then came and sat next to the girl and tried to start a conversation with her. The man then sexually assaulted the girl on the train before getting off at Wakefield Westgate station.



The British Transport Police (BTP) has now released pictures of the man they would like to speak to in connection with the attack.

The BTP said: “Officers would like to speak to the man pictured as they believe he may have information that could assist their investigation.”

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 621 of 14 April. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
