One dead and three injured in drone attack on Russian gas station

One person was killed and three others injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on a gas station in Russia’s Oryol region near the Ukrainian border on Monday, government officials said.

After rescue workers arrived on the scene, another drone attack occurred, he said.

“According to initial information, the driver of a fire engine unfortunately died,” said Klychkov. Three other emergency service employees were injured.

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday that it had neutralized a dozen Ukrainian drones overnight, including six over the Oryol region, which is about 170 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

In recent months, Ukraine has increased its attacks on Russian border regions, particularly on energy facilities.

Kiev has declared that it wants to move the fighting to Russian soil in retaliation for the numerous bombings on its own territory.
