Heavy storms are expected until Monday morning

The western part of our observation area lies under a MODERATE Risk for severe storms (Level 4 of 5). This includes Christian, Todd, Logan, Simpson, Warren, Butler, Muhlenberg, McLean, Hopkins and Ohio counties.

The eastern part of our observation area is under a EXTENDED Risk for severe storms (Level 3 of 5). This includes all areas east of I-165.

Tonight there is a risk of all kinds of severe weather.

Tonight:

Tonight into early Monday morning will see the final round of strong to severe storms from this system. All sorts of dangers are possible, including damaging winds, hail, and a few tornadoes. As this line passes, warnings will certainly be issued, so be prepared to take action if one is issued.

Memorial day:

There will be scattered rain in the early hours before it dries up again in the afternoon. If you plan on being outside, it looks pretty nice! Highs in the afternoon will be just over 27 degrees.

From Monday onwards, things will be calmer and cooler in our region, with a few days of mostly sunny skies and highs of between 25 and 27 degrees. Now that school is out, it’s a great week for the kids to play outside!
