Findlay police investigate fatal shooting

Findlay police are investigating a shooting that left an 18-year-old dead.

Police said they received a call at 6:40 p.m. Sunday that a man had been shot in an alley in the 100 block of Howard Street.

When officers arrived, they found a man in the alley with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.

The officers began to render aid and resuscitation.

The man was transported by Hanco EMS to Blanchard Valley Hospital, where he succumbed to his gunshot wound.

The deceased was identified as 18-year-old J’vion Zimmerman of Port Clinton.

According to police, the suspect in the case has been identified and is wanted for questioning.

The investigation is ongoing, but as of Monday morning at 3 a.m. no arrests had been made.

Police said there would be updates as the investigation progressed.
