Woman killed on foot on Brook Road; driver remained at scene

HENRICO COUNTY, Virginia – Authorities say a woman walking was struck and killed by a car on Brook Road in Henrico County Sunday evening.

Police were called to the accident at the corner of Brook Road and Magellan Parkway around 10:30 p.m., officials said.

“Officers found an unidentified woman dead in the roadway. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and reported the accident.”

At around 11:30 p.m., police warned that southbound Brook Road would be closed for several hours due to the “ongoing investigation.”

“Commuters are asked to seek alternative routes until the road is restored,” police warned.
