FALLBROOK, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) – A woman who died in a motorcycle crash in Fallbrook last week has been identified.

According to the San Diego County Coroner’s Office, Megan Elaine Vilardi, 40, of Fallbrook, was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Via Monserate in Fallbrook shortly before 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, when she struck a retaining wall.


According to authorities, Vilardi failed to negotiate a curve, causing her to lose control of her motorcycle and crash into a retaining wall before being ejected.

A witness called 911 and police and firefighters arrived at the scene. Vilardi was taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
