First Alert Weather: Update Sunday evening | Weather

The weekend has provided incredible weather conditions so far for the holiday weekend. Memorial Day will remain warm and humid, but storms could cause some disruption in the second half of the day.

This evening we expect partly to mostly clear skies. A few isolated storms are possible as a storm front in the west slowly breaks up over the region. Temperatures will remain at 15 to 20 degrees.

Memorial Day will be warm and stormy. A scattered thunderstorm is possible in the morning, and scattered to widespread storms are expected in the afternoon and evening. These storms can be strong to severe. The main threats from Monday’s storms are damaging winds, large hail, frequent lightning and torrential rain. Temperatures on Monday will rise to above 80 degrees.

Heavy storms on Monday

There is a slight risk of severe weather in Delmarva on Monday, with damaging winds and heavy hail being the greatest danger.

On Tuesday it will be much calmer and the weather will be mostly sunny. An isolated thunderstorm cannot be completely ruled out. Temperatures will reach just over 27 degrees and on Wednesday we will stay at 27 degrees as we enjoy more sunshine.

It will be cooler in the second half of the week. Temperatures on Thursday and Friday will only rise to 21 to 24 degrees under predominantly sunny skies. Next weekend, however, it will be warmer again.
