Connor McGovern is on this list because he moves from guard to center. Outside of maybe the Bills coaching staff, no one knows what to expect from McGovern. The fact that Buffalo drafted center Cedric Van Pran-Granger leads me to believe that they may not be completely sold on the idea either. This is a classic boom or bust situation, as this experiment could work wonderfully, or it could completely blow up. This is why I think selecting Van Pran was a smart decision. This gives the Bills the opportunity to move McGovern back to guard, but it also depends on Van Pran and how he develops this summer.

I see this whole situation as boom or bust, because by moving McGovern from the guard position, it opened the way for David Edwards to take his place. Edwards was a starter on the Rams’ Super Bowl-winning offensive line and was solid in a reserve role last year. Despite this, there still remains a question mark as to whether he is a starter or not. Buffalo also added other options by signing La’el Collins, and the Bills said he could play guard, even though he was primarily a tackle in this league. This will be another interesting situation to watch when training camp opens in late July.
