Heavy police presence and crime scene cordons Sunday evening in northeast Columbia

COLUMBIA, Missouri (KMIZ)

A heavy police presence was seen in northeast Columbia around 11 p.m. Sunday night.

ABC 17 News crews saw at least ten Columbia Police Department vehicles and cordons at the scene, blocking off the intersection of Rice Road and Boyd Lane.

An ABC 17 News reporter observed police searching a home and vehicles in the area.

ABC 17 News is working to obtain further information.
