Crime in Houston, Texas: Teen shot dead at apartment complex

HPD Lt. JP Horelica said when Houston police and firefighters arrived on scene, they found a 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

HOUSTON — A teenager was seriously injured after being shot Sunday evening in southwest Houston, according to Houston police.

It happened at an apartment complex on Glenmont Drive near the Westpark Turnpike.

HPD Lt. JP Horelica said when Houston police and firefighters arrived on scene, they found a 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

He was transported to a nearby trauma center where he is in critical condition, according to Horelica.

At this time, there is no information on any potential suspect(s).
