12 drivers arrested during alcohol testing in Patchogue

At least 12 people were arrested for drink driving in Suffolk this weekend.

According to Suffolk police, a dozen drivers were stopped and arrested at a drunk driving checkpoint in Patchogue on Friday.

According to police, nearly 600 cars passed the checkpoint between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m.

Suffolk Police will continue to have increased drunk driving patrols on Memorial Day.

Nassau and state police will also be conducting increased patrols throughout the weekend.
