Jackson police are reminding people to be mindful of their safety ahead of the upcoming Memorial Day. Police Chief Joseph Wade is urging everyone to be mindful of their choices. “We will also be focusing on those who engage in wrongdoing, dangerous drinking or drag racing while under the influence of alcohol. We want people to have fun, eat barbecue and put down their guns,” Police Chief Wade said. According to Police Chief Wade, safety risks are higher at this time, and extra patrols will be deployed on streets and highways.
