Johnny Wactor of General Hospital died at age 37 in fatal shooting

He continued: “Through the ups and downs of a demanding profession, he always kept his head up and strived to be the best,” adding: “Our time with Johnny was a privilege we would wish on anyone. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. After over a decade together, he will forever leave a hole in our hearts.”

E! News has reached out to Wactor’s rep and the Los Angeles Police Department for comment but has not received a response.

The actor, originally from Charleston, South Carolina, has been working as a film actor for more than 15 years. Wactor began his Hollywood career in 2007 with small roles in the series Army women. In 2013, he starred in the short-lived supernatural drama Siberia as a competitive bull rider in South Carolina, also named Johnny.

Wactor has appeared in shows such as Hollywood Girl, Criminal Thoughts, NCIS: Secret Service Stories, The OA And Westworld and the 2016 film USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage with Nicholas Cage And Tom Sizemorewho died last year at the age of 61.

He had his breakthrough in 2020 with his role as Brando Corbin in General Hospitala role he played in over 160 episodes until 2022.
