Real estate agent attacked with baseball bats and sharp weapons | Ludhiana News

Ludhiana: Sarabha Nagar police on Sunday filed a complaint against real estate agent Jaswant Singh of Aryan Enclave, Thareeke village, and five unidentified persons for allegedly attacking real estate agent Raj Kumar Malhotra (45) of Balbir Enclave on Chuharpur Road. According to the complaint, the complainant Malhotra, who owns an office in Rajguru Nagar, was returning home on his scooter after work when five unidentified men crossed his path near the railway crossing and attacked him with sharp weapons and baseball bats. One of the accused was also videotaped. After beating him up, the accused made a phone call and allegedly told Jaswant that his work was done. Malhotra said he had no rivalry with Jaswant and did not know why he hired goons to attack him. The accused were charged under sections 325 (punishment for intentionally causing grievous hurt), 323 (intentionally causing hurt), 341 (wrongful confinement), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.
