Rape: Woman raped, crime registered | Ludhiana News

Ludhiana: A 23-year-old married woman, who works as a hosiery worker, was allegedly raped by a man from her locality while his accomplice videotaped the incident. In her complaint to the police, the survivor said she was at work around 11 am on May 24 and went to her rented accommodation to get a cutting device when the accused followed her to her room, overpowered her and locked the room from inside. While one man raped her, the other recorded her video. The accused asked her to shut up and threatened to upload her video on social media. The 4th Division police station has filed an FIR against the two accused under sections 376 (rape) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC. ASI Veena Rani, investigating officer, said a case has been registered against the absconding duo and the police will arrest them soon. tnn
