One dead, two injured in two shootings after hundreds fight outside Trenton bar, police say – NBC10 Philadelphia

Two shootings following fights between hundreds of people in Trenton, New Jersey, left one person dead and two injured on Sunday morning, police said.

According to police, the shootings occurred shortly after police were called to the Regal 1 Bar on N. Clinton Avenue in Trenton around 2:10 a.m. There, officers said “approximately 200 people were observed fighting in the street.”

A few minutes later, officials said, officers heard several gunshots coming from near the bar in the 500 block of N. Clinton Avenue and their ShotSpotter systems were activated.

In response to these shootings, officers said they encountered three gunshot victims at two different locations.

A man identified by police as Dwayne Penix, 20, of Trenton, was taken to a nearby hospital, where his condition was assessed shortly after arrival, officials said.

The other two victims, both men, were also taken to nearby hospitals, where authorities said their condition was stable.
