1 dead and 1 injured after report of gunshot in Naugatuck home: PD

There is no danger to the public, police said.

NAUGATUCK, Connecticut – One person was found dead and another injured after a gunshot was reported from a Naugatuck home Saturday night, city police said.

Police said officers arrived at the Goldfinch Lane home at 9 p.m. after receiving the report and found the person dead.

The death occurred “prematurely,” police said.

A second person at the scene was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The Connecticut State Police Western District Major Crimes Unit was called in to assist in the investigation led by the Naugatuck Police Department.

There is no danger to the public, police said.

According to police, further information will be released as soon as it is available.
