CSP discovers body in Deep River

State police responded to a report of a disturbance at a city address Saturday afternoon.

DEEP RIVER, Connecticut — Connecticut State Police from Troop F in Westbrook found a body at an address in Deep River Saturday afternoon, state police said.

State police said they responded to a report of a suspicious incident on a property in the city at approximately 3:36 p.m. The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed because the investigation is still in the early stages, state police said.

A suspect in the investigation was taken into custody in the state of Massachusetts, state police said, noting that there was no active threat to the public.

According to state police, little information has been released so far because the investigation is still ongoing.
