2 arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, 32 ticketed at checkpoint

(BCN) – Two drivers were arrested for driving under the influence and 32 were cited for driving without a license during a DUI stop on Friday, Novato police said.

Checkpoints like the one on De Long Avenue and Redwood Boulevard are set based on the number of accidents caused by driving under the influence of alcohol, police said in a press release on Saturday.


In addition to the two arrests for drink driving and 32 charges of driving without a license, police arrested one driver for health and safety violations, charged two drivers with driving without a license and four drivers with other traffic violations.
