Campbell man arrested for punching elderly man in the face and kicking police officer

CAMPBELL – Campbell police arrested a man Saturday morning on two counts of elder abuse and assault on a police officer.

Nicholas Hosteter, 25, was taken into custody at his Campbell home following an incident Friday morning in which a 75-year-old man who was out for a walk was allegedly punched in the face by Hosteter in the area of ​​Inwood Drive and Elam Avenue.

According to police, Hosteter threatened the victim again a few hours later when the man returned to the area accompanied by family members to look for surveillance cameras.

With the help of Hosteter’s parents, police arrested him Saturday morning as he left his home. While he was being detained, he allegedly kicked a police officer.
