Pacifica police arrest a man on suspicion of drunk driving following a three-car crash

Police in Pacifica arrested a man on suspicion of driving under the influence after he was allegedly involved in a three-vehicle crash this weekend, the department said Monday.

Shortly after 5 p.m., a Pacifica police officer responded to a three-vehicle crash on State Highway 1 near Fassler Avenue.

Two of the people involved reported minor injuries; According to police, one of the two was treated at the scene and the other was taken to hospital.

Ilan Mamontov, 29, of San Francisco, was arrested and reportedly exhibited signs of alcohol intoxication. Mamontov was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and risk of injury, a felony.

He was booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
