Shooting at Pioneer Square leaves one dead, Seattle police investigate

According to Seattle police, officers initially responded to a report that a man had been shot near the intersection of Occidental Avenue South and Yesler Way at 11:15 p.m.

Arriving officers and Seattle Fire Department personnel found an unconscious man in the basement of the Sinking Ship parking garage.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The homicide squad and forensics team arrived on scene and are now trying to find out what led to the shooting.

Seattle police did not release any information about a possible suspect.
