Burglary and theft at Cottonwood Falls Cemetery under investigation

The Chase County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding a break-in and theft at Prairie Grove Cemetery in Cottonwood Falls Township earlier this month.

The sheriff’s office says the incident apparently occurred between May 11 and May 14 at the cemetery, which is located in the 1500 block of Lake Road and west of Cottonwood Falls. The suspect(s) took a black generator and a black string trimmer, both of an unknown make and model. They also took two Echo SRM-225 string trimmers.

Descriptions of the suspects are not currently available.
