Two people die in apparent murder-suicide at Riverside hospital – The Virginian-Pilot

A married couple died after a suspected murder-suicide at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News police said.

Officers received a call about a shooting at Newport News Hospital around 8:20 a.m. Sunday, police said in a news release. They found a man and a woman who had both been shot. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the “incident appears to be a murder-suicide” and that no suspects were being sought.

The hospital was cordoned off for a short time. No one was injured.
