UK Wildcats News: Ray Davis gives back using his own journey to inspire others

Hello BBN!

Summer begins and fans’ attention turns to the Kentucky Wildcats football team. The season is fast approaching. As summer workouts are about to get underway, one story that has caught the attention of many in the NFL is a heartwarming story regarding former Kentucky running back Ray Davis.

Davis was selected in the fourth round of this year’s NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills and is now expected to be a solid No. 2 option behind James Cook in Buffalo. We all know Ray’s story as a child, but now he gives back to his community in hopes of inspiring others who share a similar story.

He partnered with a local Buffalo organization, Fostering Greatness, to contribute to and advocate for children going through the foster care system, just as he did while growing up in San Francisco.

A nice story which shows that it is always much more than sport. I know he will be a guy that the BBN will root for and support no matter where he ends up during his NFL journey.
