Charges have been brought against a suspect following reports of sexual assault in a Nottinghamshire village.

Three women and a young girl were reportedly approached by a man at three different locations in East Leake on Tuesday.

A 36-year-old man from Leicester was arrested in the village on Wednesday and has since been charged with four counts of sexual assault, police said.

He was due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates Court on Friday.

According to police, the suspect was also charged with two traffic offenses: failure to provide a breath sample and failure to cooperate in a preliminary test.

He was also accused of an attack on April 30 in Leicester.
