Two people taken to hospital, rescue workers at the scene

TWO people were hospitalized following an accident.

Two fire engines from Widnes and Runcorn fire stations and paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service were on scene.

This happened yesterday, Saturday, shortly after midday at 12.13pm on Norley Road near Kingsley.

When the firefighters arrived, they found that it was a traffic accident involving only one vehicle.

Rescue teams arrived to help rescue the injured and secure the accident site.

Cutting tools were not required and firefighters helped the last injured person out of the vehicle upon their arrival.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Two victims from the vehicle were taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service.”

“The fire brigade was on site for an hour.”
