Investigations into the death of a 12-year-old in Fort Lee are ongoing

FORT LEE, NJ – A death investigation is underway in Fort Lee after a 12-year-old child was found unconscious today. Authorities responded to a 911 call from a private residence on Maple Street at approximately 3:34 p.m.

Emergency responders took the child to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The investigation is being led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit under Police Chief Matthew Finck and the Fort Lee Police Department under Police Chief Matthew Hintze.

Since the investigation is still in its early stages, no further information has been released at this time.
