UN official: 670 people killed in landslide in Papua New Guinea

SYDNEY, May 26 (Bernama-Xinhua) — The death toll from a massive landslide in Papua New Guinea (PNG) is estimated at over 670, an International Organization for Migration official told media on Sunday, Xinhua reported.

“They estimate that there are currently more than 670 people underground,” said Serhan Aktoprak, head of the UN migration agency’s mission in the Pacific island nation.
