AMBER Alert issued for Virginia toddler

SCOTT COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – The Virginia State Police and the Virginia Missing Children Clearinghouse have issued an AMBER Alert on behalf of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office regarding a child abduction that occurred on May 6, 2024 at 8:10 p.m

Police believe the boy is in extreme danger and was last seen wearing only a diaper on Daniel Boone Road in Gate City, VA.

According to police, Cedar Samuel Griffith was arrested. He is ten months old and black, with black hair and brown eyes. He stands 30 inches tall and weighs 20 pounds.

The child is believed to have been abducted by Ashley Jordan Griffith, who is white, has blonde hair and hazel eyes, police said.

Police believe they may be in a blue 2005 Lexus RX330 with a temporary Tennessee tag. Police are asking anyone who sees her to call 911.
