Emergency services stop search for possibly missing person in Ohio River

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office said it now knows the identity of the person it was searching for in the Ohio River last night.

The name has not yet been released. Crews began searching the Ohio River near the Natcher Bridge on Highway 231 last night after receiving reports that someone may have jumped into the river. Crews suspended their search last night and resumed early this morning.


We were told that emergency crews called off the search at midday after finding no results.

The sheriff’s office said the incident is currently under investigation and they are trying to determine whether or not the person is in the river.
