Atlanta Braves News: Jimmy Herget, miserable May, more

The Braves continued to have a bad stretch in May, losing another one to Pittsburgh in boring fashion with a glaring lack of runs. Much of this continues to be a combination of bad luck and the (likely) new higher drag ball, but it’s not much fun watching this offense right now. Meanwhile, they made a move on the sidelines of the roster, bringing up Jimmy Herget, whom they added from the Angels for Darius Vines. Herget has been an effective reliever at times during his career, and a resurgence of this version of him would be great, but fundamentally the team needs to score more runs to win more games.
