Seneca Falls man charged with crime after Walmart theft investigation

Police say a Seneca Falls man faces charges for recently entering a Walmart store.

Nicholas J. Carter, 55, of Seneca Falls, was arrested Saturday by Seneca Falls police following two complaints from the Walmart Supercenter.

Authorities reported that Carter had previously been banned from the store, but re-entered twice and stole merchandise on his second visit. He was charged with two counts of third-degree trespassing, a class B misdemeanor, one count of petty theft, a class A misdemeanor, and one count of third-degree burglary, a class D felony.

Carter was released on summons and is scheduled to appear in Seneca Falls Municipal Court at a later date to answer the charges.
