One man dead in Dover; police investigating

DOVER, Delaware – Dover police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead Saturday night.

Dover Police were called to a shooting in the area of ​​New Castle Avenue and East Water Street at 4:22 p.m. Officers responded and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. The victim was transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment. At the hospital, he was pronounced dead due to his injuries. The victim’s name is being withheld until his family is notified.
