Man shot in Anaheim liquor store parking lot – Orange County Register

A 38-year-old man was shot and killed in the parking lot of a liquor store in Anaheim on Friday evening, May 24. Police believe it was a gang-related attack, authorities said.

Anaheim police officers were called to the 900 block of South Anaheim Boulevard at 7 p.m. for a shooting. They found the victim, identified as Jesse Barragan of Anaheim, unconscious and suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Sergeant Jon McClintock said.

Barragan died at the scene, McClintock said.

The suspect fled before officers arrived.
