Trump trial live updates: Stormy Daniels says she hates Trump and wants him to be “held accountable.”

Judge Merchan had to intervene several times to take on the role of mediator as the back and forth between Stormy Daniels and defense attorney Susan Nechele became increasingly heated.

When Daniels began to speak unprompted at some point, Necheles snapped, “Okay, Miss Daniels, you understand that there’s no question left unanswered, right?”

That prompted the judge to instruct Daniels: “Please wait until a question is asked and then you can answer the question.”

At various points where prosecutors objected to Necheles’ questions, Daniels jerked her head to the right toward Merchan, who was sitting less than three feet away from her.

She stares at Merchan until he decides on the objection, then continues her statement where she left off.

During a heated exchange with defense attorney Susan Necheles, Stormy Daniels raised her voice at one point.

Necheles showed Daniels a tweet she had written that said, “I don’t owe him anything… and I will never give that orange turd a dime.”

Some jurors smiled as Nicheles read one of Daniels’ tweets in which she called Trump an “orange bastard.”

“That means you’re insulting President Trump, right?” Necheles asked.

“In retaliation for calling me names,” Daniels replied.

“You keep insulting him, don’t you?” Necheles asked. “You despite him.”

Daniels replied that she was contradicting the names he had given her that the jury had previously seen, namely Horseface and Sleazebag.

“Because he made fun of me at first,” Daniels said.

“So one of you started it and you both continued it?” Necheles said.

Defense attorney Susan Necheles expressed Stormy Daniels’ hostility toward Donald Trump after a California court dismissed a lawsuit she filed against him and awarded Trump legal fees totaling more than half a million dollars.

“They are choosing not to pay President Trump a dime,” Necheles said. “You chose to disobey a court order.”

She read a tweet from Daniels that said she would go to prison before paying Trump the money a court found he owed her.

During the interrogation, Necheles’ voice almost reached the level of a scream and shook the courtroom.

Judge Merchan reminded Necheles to allow Daniels to answer the question before moving on to the next question.

Defense attorney Susan Necheles began her cross-examination of Stormy Daniels by suggesting that Daniels’ testimony had been rehearsed.

“The prosecution subjected you to several grueling preparation sessions, which included brutal mock interrogations?” Necheles asked.

“My statement was not rehearsed,” Daniels responded.

“The memories were hard to bring back – they were painful,” Daniels added.

“Am I right that you hate President Trump?” Necheles asked.

“Yes,” Daniels replied.

“And you want him to go to prison?” Necheles asked.

“I want him to be held accountable,” Daniels said.
