Average high: 74° Average low: 53°
Sunrise: 5:55 am Sunset: 8:39 pm

A tornado warning was issued for parts of Allegheny, Beaver and Washington counties until 5:30 p.m.

FIRST WARNING: Today (Saturday) will remain a First Alert Weather Day until the evening until the storms dissipate. Monday will also be a First Alert Weather Day with rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds.

CONSCIOUSLY: Flash flood warning for parts of Western Pennsylvania.

Due to the amount of rain that has fallen so far today and the rapid amount of precipitation, a Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Indiana and Westmoreland Counties and is in effect until 7:15 p.m. Saturday. Streams and rivers may rise quickly and people are advised to stay away from waterways during a Flash Flood Warning.

If you see a flooded road, do not drive through it as the actual depth of water is difficult to determine.

Western Pennsylvania is still stormy enough to allow for some rain showers and isolated thunderstorms to develop this evening. The risk of severe storms will decrease significantly during the evening hours. However, with cloud cover remaining tonight, we expect temperatures to only drop to 13 to 16 degrees Celsius.

Fog will build over Pittsburgh overnight. If you’re heading out early Sunday morning, allow extra time for your drive. Thick fog will cause near-zero visibility at times in low-lying areas.

We’re expecting a quieter Sunday in the Pittsburgh area, with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon, but most of the day is usable. Once we get to Sunday evening, it’s all open as rain begins to fall across Western Pennsylvania. However, as we approach Memorial Day, it’s a First Alert Weather Day with showers and possible thunderstorms.

Once Wednesday is over, things will really calm down and there will be less changeable weather.
