Why we suspended Abure as LP chairman – Ogbaloi

The Chairman of the Labour Party in Edo State, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi, has commented on the suspension of the National Chairman, Lawyer Julius Abure, saying that it should not be viewed as a permanent measure.

Ogbaloi explained that the district leadership was dissatisfied with Abure’s leadership style and therefore decided to suspend him. The local government subsequently approved the decision, which was subsequently ratified by the state association.

He stressed that suspension is not a “death sentence” but a means of addressing problems within the party. Ogbaloi stressed the importance of addressing the concerns of the lower levels of the party administration and stressed the importance of grassroots politics.

Despite this internal dispute, Ogbaloi expressed confidence in the party’s ability to succeed in the upcoming elections in Edo State. He mentioned the widespread support for the candidacy of Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata and stressed that the party remains focused on winning the election.

He compared the situation to a corporate environment where a problem with one individual does not bring the entire operation to a halt. Ogbaloi concluded by saying that he believes in overcoming challenges and moving forward as a united party.
