SAN JOSE, CA (May 7, 2024)Juan Ramirez died May 2 in a scooter accident on 10th Street near Elizabeth Street.

According to San Jose police, the fatal scooter accident occurred on April 30 at approximately 1:38 p.m. For an unknown reason, 64-year-old Juan Bosques Ramirez crashed into a Tesla Model Y that was turning onto South 10th Street from Elizabeth Street. Ramirez then fell from his Ninebot electric scooter onto the street. However, he was then struck by an oncoming 2008 Chevy Cobalt.

Minutes later, paramedics responded and transported Ramirez to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Tragically, he died days later from his serious injuries.
