Man arrested and charged in connection with Apopka bank robberies – WFTV

APOPKA, Florida – A man is behind bars for allegedly committing two bank robberies in Orange County.

After days of investigation, Apopka police arrested 45-year-old Taylor Cale Mizelle, who made his first appearance before an Orange County judge on Saturday.

Police said they were able to identify the suspect following his alleged robbery on May 20.

The crime occurred at the Fifth Third Bank on South Orange Blossom Trail.

After questioning the suspect, detectives said the man confessed to another robbery, also at a Fifth Third Bank on Rock Springs Road.

The crime occurred on May 8 at around 12:40 p.m. According to police, the suspect went behind the counter, took money and walked out.

Surveillance cameras captured this image of the suspect, which was used in the investigation.

Channel 9 reached out to Fifth Third Bank for comment on the arrest but did not receive a response.

The man was charged with two counts of aggravated theft and two counts of armed robbery.
