Homicide investigation underway in Monroe County | 28/22 News

MIDDLE SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY – Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred late Friday night.

According to a PSP news release, police officers responded to a shooting just before 11 p.m. at My Place Bar & Grill in the 5000 block of Milford Road.

According to police, the unidentified victim was found to have been struck by gunfire and later died at Lehigh Valley Pocono Medical Center.

The incident is currently being investigated by the Troop N Major Case Team along with the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office.
