Newly opened Porterhouse Grill shut down by Brookhaven police

The Porterhouse Grill and Bar was shut down by Brookhaven Police for operating without a business license less than a month after opening.

According to Brookhaven police, Porterhouse, located at 1410 Dresden Drive, has failed safety inspections by the DeKalb County Fire Marshal and therefore does not have a business license.

“Porterhouse received a citation from the Department of Buildings earlier this week for operating without a business license,” said Brookhaven Police Chief Brandon Gurley. “They reopened on May 24 and received another citation for operating without a business license.”

Porterhouse opened on May 4 and has made no physical changes to the premises since taking over the Kaleidoscope Pub, which closed on April 28 after 14 years. Porterhouse has also taken over the K-Pub’s old Facebook account.

The restaurant is owned by Anil Sodadasi, who operates a second location in Athens, GA.
