Newark man arrested for drunk driving after Friday incident

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Carlton M. Fleming, 50, of Newark on the evening of May 24 for driving while intoxicated.

After a traffic stop in Lyons, officers charged Fleming with DUI and a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or more. After a breath test at the sheriff’s office, Fleming’s blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.14%.

Fleming was charged with traffic violations and released. He is scheduled to appear in Lyons Municipal Court at 8:30 a.m. on June 18 to answer the charges.
