According to new reports, Abure’s suspension was ratified at a meeting of the state’s executive committee on Friday evening, May 24, in Benin, according to two letters dated May 14 and 15.

“Although the suspension takes effect immediately, you are advised not to impersonate or display any identities as a member of the Labour Party, Ward 3, Arue, Uromi, Esan, North East Local Government Area of ​​Edo State,” the letter said.

Meanwhile, the state executive committee led by Kelly Ogbaloi is said to have approved the decisions of the party’s district and local government committees.

Ogbaloi said the state executive council had no option but to approve the suspension, which was also ratified by the party’s executive council in Esan local government area of ​​the north-east of the state.

Also speaking, LP Vice Chairman in Edo State, Patrick Agbontaen, said the party had had enough of the series of allegations against Abure and fully agreed with the decision to suspend him until further notice. The guard was also reported.

“I hereby transmit for your consideration the ratification of the suspension of Julius Abure as member of Ward 3, Arue, Uromi, Ean North East LGA, Edo State.

“The LGA Board met on May 15, 2024, around noon to discuss the points submitted for suspension, accordingly found them to be significant and ratified and confirmed the suspension.”
