Edo LP suspends national chairman Abure for anti-party activities

The National Chairman of the Labour PartyJulius Aburewas suspended from the party in Ward 3, Arue-Uromi, Esan North-East Local Government Area of ​​Edo State. for alleged arbitrariness and anti-party activities.

A suspension letter dated May 142024, and another ratification letter from 15 May2024, both of which were ratified at a meeting of the State Executive Committee on Friday evening in Benin, stated that the suspension with immediate effect.

She advised Abure not to continue to be Member of the party.

The suspension letter was signed by District Chairman Thompson Ehiguese and District Secretary Stanley Usiomoh.

The letter confirming his suspension was forwarded by the party’s Esan North East Local Government Chairman, Patrick Onogbeni, and the State Secretary, Ehikioya Eromosele, to the party’s State Executive Committee through the State Chairman.

The confirmation letter read: “I hereby transmit to you for your consideration the confirmation of the suspension of Julius Abure as member of Ward 3, Arue, Uromi, Ean North East LGA, Edo State.”

“The LGA Board met on 15 May2024, around noon, to consider the matters referred for suspension and, accordingly, considered them to be of weight and confirmed the suspension.”

The state executive committee led by Kelly Ogbaloi on Friday approved the decisions of the party’s district and local government committee.

The venue was charged as leader and Members of the party chanted: “Abure must go!”
