Orcas don’t attack boats – they’re just playful teenagers, scientists say

Hundreds of dangerous boat-ramming accidents over the past five years have portrayed orcas as deep-sea villains plotting to reclaim the oceans.

But the killer whales causing chaos off the Iberian Peninsula could actually just be bored teenagers – at least that’s the common theory of a group of more than a dozen orca experts who have been studying the incidents for years.
