Daughter of deceased Glendale police officer graduates from high school

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — It was an especially emotional graduation for one Valley family as the daughter of a deceased Glendale police officer graduated Thursday.

Department officials came to State Farm Stadium to visit the family of Officer Bradley Jones, who was killed over 12 years ago.

His daughter Madisyn graduated from Liberty High School.

Officials lined up and applauded the teenager as she entered the stadium, bringing her to tears.

They also clapped for other members of their family.

On October 28, 2011, Officer Jones was assisting a parolee at the corner of 75th Avenue and Glendale when the suspect shot Jones.

Jones was able to call for help, but died in hospital the next day.
