“Texas Sheepdog” arrested on child pornography charges

KIRBY, Texas — A self-proclaimed activist who monitors police officers to make sure they obey the law has found oneself on the other side of it.

Jack Miller, who goes by the name “Texas Sheepdog” on the Internet, was arrested for suspected possession of child pornography.

The 51-year-old has 62,600 subscribers on YouTube. Miller records interactions with police and shares videos of other people mocking police at work.

Officials came to see him in March.

According to arrest records, Kirby police and the Texas Rangers Special Response Team arrested Miller at his home in the 4800 block of Dick Gordon. Authorities say he was wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, trespassing and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Kirby police also executed a search warrant.

In May, investigators conducted a forensic analysis of Miller’s computer and found child pornography. The affidavit states that officers discovered six images that depicted children. One particularly graphic image allegedly shows a man sexually abusing a 5- to 7-year-old girl. Another image allegedly shows a child under the age of 18 being violated in a sadistic sexual act.

The Texas Sheepdog remains behind bars on a new charge of possession or promotion of child pornography under the age of 10, a second-degree felony.
